Cycle Factory Kawasaki basket on vft.org
« on: May 18, 2013, 03:20:52 pm »
This is the buy of the week. $1000 gets you a shitload of project fun. I'm not sure what particular Kawasaki engine it is but you could fit anything really. This is the same frame as my little 360 Yamaha so see the bottom photo to get an idea of what it'd look like finished. It's conveniently located in California for ease of shipment too. If I didn't have too many projects already I'd be all over this.

OK, I really want to sell this this time. Was listed for $1500. previously. Now $1000.00 Cycle Factory frame. Engine in the frame is empty cases. Seat base has been sold. Many extras including complete stock engine,  More info. Engine in frame is empty cases. F5E-266320, with compression release. Betor clamps and Bombardier forks. Spool front hub, Barnes rear with Airheart caliper (siezed). 19" shouldered aluminum rims. Mulholland shocks. Pipe is cherry with one small dent on the bottom.  Extras: 2 barrels, one measures 81.4 and the other is 81.2. No broken fins. 1 crank with Yamaha rod. 3 pistons One used 80.9mm and two new. One is +.050 with rings and pin and one is standard bore and is coated with some kind of slippery coating.. 2 flywheels. Clutch basket , gears and shafts all coated. We used to use a guy locally that used a process called Dicronite. 1 clutch. Looks new. 2 NOS main bearings. Assorted ignition boxes and parts. Santa Clara, CA    More photos if requested.  Tom 408-988-0668

Things must be really bad in the states for this not to sell at the 1500 previously advertised and 1000 is way cheap.

Thanks GD....I suspected as much but thought it may be a 250 F8 or F81M or the like. There's a very neat Kawasaki Bighorn flat tracker that often turns up at the Penrith Charity meeting at Nepean every year.
I'd love to see someone buy this bargain, they don't come that cheap very often. You can pay up to $500 just for a Barnes back wheel.
Here's a couple I prepared earlier ;D

Piney's new project Cycle Factory Bighorn will soon be on its way along with the C&J Honda and Pursang shown below that were dropped off at the Long Beach Shipper yesterday. Now that the dollar's dropped a tad these bikes are now about 6c in the dollar more expensive to buy but on the other side, the prices are still dropping on some bikes.

Thankfully Craig, none of the bikes are mine. Piney off this forum purchased the Kawka, a mate bought the C&J Honda and all I know about the Bully is that it's on its way to Oz. Anyone owning up to getting it? ;D
As far as the B&S TM400 is concerned, I'm letting a mate race it at the Nats and after that I'll have no plans on keeping it. I'll get my people to keep in touch with your people and who knows, you might just be able to take it home with you from Canberra ;).

Here's another sweet Bighorn in D/T trim. This one appears to be running a modified stock frame. I've posted this bike before but it looks just right to my eye.

That's correct and it was also on ebay a week or two ago starting at $10,200 but didn't attract a bid.  If it was that nice but still stock then maybe......

Sure that sounds like a good deal .... I'll even throw in the mint A5 KX frame I got as well as the A% Tank, Airbox, Swingarm and a bunch of other bits.

I'd love to have the TM back .. regretted selling it and really missed it.

I'll call you and leave a message (because I know you will be too busy to answer  ;D )
