This exercise turned out to be a little expensive. While in the process of weighing my stash of pipes I dropped a GYT pipe on my fancy cocaine dealer style digital scale and smashed it to smithereens. :'(
Luckily I had the oldschool Casa del Firko kitchen scales as a backup so here's the results I managed to get...................

GYT pipe-no muffler.........2.75 kg............being used in the conversion of my DT1 Enduro to GYT/MX specification.
GYT pipe with Supertrapp muffler.......3.2kg......being used in Nathans old DT1
DT2MX stocker with Supertrapp muffler.......3.5kg
Bassani DT1 with built in muffler......2kg
Torque Industries RT2MX pipe w/built in muffler....1.75kg........being used on the Hindall RT2MX
Mototech DT2MX pipe with built in muffler......2kg
Proform YZ360 pipe with alloy muffler 2kg..........in service on my Cheney RT1

I've also got a Hooker DT1 and a couple of no-name pipes tucked away in storage I could weigh if anyone's interested.

Thanks VMX60!

Firko,

Sorry your scale had to pay the ultimate price.  I haven't weighed my Hooker pipe yet, but it looks a lot lighter than the GYT/MX pipe.  I would think it weighs close to the Torque Eng. pipe.  I weighed my Bassani last night and mine weighs closer to the GYT/MX pipe (more than 2.75Kg).  Do you have a photo of your Bassani for comparison?

we've created a monster in giving a 93 year old an espresso machine. She's buzzing like a speed freak, she's so hyped up on caffeine. Little Reggie's a hoot and you're right, he sure is a camera mole. I can't walk 3 paces without the little bloke coming with me, he's my little shadow. Check your PMs Joan.
