Connondale Classic

Can some please tell me the classes and a bit of info on this event. I would like to come over and have another ride on my bike and thought this would be the place to do it.

See you there cuzzy bro!

Check the QVMX website DJ, there's a link on the home page.

They have put up info about the meet. I have to attend a wedding in FNQ in August. I'm riding Conondale, Proserpine the following weekend then going to the the wedding (in a kilt!) then home.

The two race meetings allow me to salvage something out of the trip.

Hey DJ would be good to have you along, the meeting is for all classes up to pre 85 and is a two day format. Same as last year. plenty of morning practice on Saturday plus one round racing, Sunday has another round of racing and the theme racing in the afternoon, (brand racing state v state or in your case country v country ;D) can camp if you like great setting new a creek and plenty of people do this or if you like motels only 15 mins down road.

PM Me if you need more info as I will be on this years commitee for the meeting, I am also a sponsor for the event.

it'll be a good one DJ and damn near perfect for your little Noguci.
i did it last year on the little MX. it was a tad rough for the pre75 crowd but plenty of nice grassy straights to run the bikes up through the gears made up for it.last year ran pre75125s with the pre78 125s and was a small grid but fun all the same.

Sounds good Vandy, I like the idea of pre75 and pre78 running together to have a bigger grid. I assume I need a day licience for this event and where is Connondale? What road is it on? I better look on the site for all the info. Do I need to bring some more rain with me  ;)  ;D

Tunnel, what tunnel, I have heard of the big jump on the track (the name of it I cant remember though).

DJ, Connondale isn't too far from the 'Glasshouse Mountains' and 'Australia Zoo' on the Sunshine Coast of Queensland if you'd like to find those on a tourist map or website. That'll give you a general idea of the whereabouts.

Oh, and the Glasshouse Mountains were not named so by Australians, OK?
They look nothing like the Kiwi mountains you'd be familiar with - more like enormous spikes made of rock.
I mention this coz I met a Kiwi who got all uppity about them being labelled as 'Mountains'.
I believe it was Captain Cook so pls keep that in mind...

It's about 1 1/2 hours drive north of Nudgee. Track is very friendly to both rider and bike , set up is very similar to CD5 with onsite catering - hot showers - room for camping .   see you there Bro

Oldfart cuzzie bro, I'll bring the Number 8 wire and we'll go huhu grub hunting and down some Tui's

Do I need to become a member of QVMX to race or is a day licence ok?

Wombat, Karen thanks you for the info on the Zoo, I think she will go there for the day rather than the races.... Fknoses why.....seen a croc seen them all..... but bikes never look the same ;D

VMX247, I looked up flights from here and for the 2 of us return $850 from the east island.

DJ Racing,I reckon they must be turning those engines off and gliddin over to Oz,saving fuel cost's.That is so cheap :o
It would cost $1764 for us 3 return to brisbane, thats no accomodation etc

I've also heard that is cheaper to go to Malayasia for a holiday & watch Casey Stoner & co race, included is pit pass..than going to Phillip Is in Vic.

hey vmx247, let's remember W.A. is a great place to live - miles from anywhere but it lacks for nuthin'!
I lived there for three years and I love the place. I can't think of a downside.
Quality sand, great all year round temperature, lots of sand, good drainage, sandy beaches and it's a short drive to the sandy expanses east of the populated areas for that much needed getaway. ;)
