Good turn out. Top area. Pity the rain kept everything greasy! >:(. See if you can work out who the Forum member is in the first pic that missed the right turn and ended up in the dam!

That would be that Dam Hilly bloke  ;D

Just finished washing 3 very muddy bikes! Great 16klm loop, technical enough to keep you on your toes but nothing too difficult. The rain maid things very interesting in places. The whole loop was a hoot but the back section was grouse, fast & flowing. Haven't had as much fun on a motorcycle for a long time. Managed to get 4 laps in before the cracked ribs were asking me to call it a day. I for one will be at the next one for sure. Well done to the organisers for a geat day at a great venue.
Cheers,
K

It was actually a Maico that went into the dam, easy mistake though as only the handlebars were visible.
I just missed out videoing him going in, bugger, its so hard to be in the wrong place at the right time.
No one swam in to help him, it was too bloody cold, so they just threw him a rope to tow him out.
If I can get a still from the video I will put it up but someone probably has a photo of it as camera's came from everywhere.
Looked like a good event & course, disappointed I didn't have a bike ready.

I dont get you blokes. The organisers of this event have got a lot to answer for. For starters;
- The sub zero temperatures that we had to endure Saturday Night,
- The rain,
- The mud,
- The amount of money that dissapeared out of our wallets at the Black Duck pub,
- The mud,
- The headaches on Sunday morning,
- The embarressing bloody cold start rule (did i mention the sub zero temperatures),
- The mud
- The bloke that dropped his guts and cleared out riders briefing,
- Letting people ride that would move aside when you came up on them (whats going on there!)
- The mud
- Putting the bikes in a Parke Ferme so that we can see all the bikes in one place at one time. Ya reckon they could have come up with something better than the French word, Parke Ferme. I was told by some of the die hards that it is "In the Spirit", god forbid, what will they come up with next, noise testing!!!
- $3.00 bacon & egg sandwiches for brekky that you couldnt jump over.
- A spit roast that would have put any pub dinner to shame,
- The mud,
- A 30 minute loop that went up hills, down hills, through bar width hand cut, flowing 4th gear roll on sections, special test sections including one that went up a dried-up 3mt deep creek bed. Jesus, i even cracked a sweat and a smile.
- Making us go on a road trip with the boys.
- Did i mention the mud.

As they made a complete cock up of this event, i suggest that all the people that did not attend and had the idea of going to the next event, dont bother. On your behalf I have decided that i will go to the next event and see if this was a one-off mistake and report back. We dont need to many riders coming to the next event and being dissapointed like i was.

Hah Drakie told me on saturday that i should go for a walk and check out the   special test i told him that i was up for it and wouldnt bother . Guess who was waiting at the dropoff the next morning with his camera and laughing hysterically at all the gumbys like me. I hope that there is some photo's out there . I was going to take some but just didnt get around to it . And the bloke at the briefing who let rip was lucky he wasnt closer to the fire.

Does anyone know approximately how many riders there were on Sunday?

Here's a short, poor quality clip from the day: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pMNh-1K_qsQ

At a guess, 60 riders/bikes then add another 30 or so support people.
