Hi from the east islands
« on: April 06, 2013, 06:47:15 pm »
New member here from across the ditch.
I ride a 1985 RM125 that I restored last year and am rebuilding a 1984 RM250 at the moment.

I have 2 1/2 125's, 1 restored, 1 that just needs putting together ( have all the parts needed ) and a parts bike for spares.
The 250 was in a bad state but have just finished the frame and have most parts ready to put back together.
The 250 as I got it.

Looking forward to talking bikes and stuff.

Yeh it does/did.
When I took the forks out I realised they were 41mm units :o from a ts or something.
I have a spare 84' front end that I have just got emulators for and will rebuild them and put them on the 125 and put the 85' front end currantly on the 125 on the 250.
Just finished welding the frame today and will get it painted soon and start on putting the engine back together.
I have everything for the 250 sitting in boxes, DG exhaust, new 38mm carb,  plastics , decals, cables, bar & grips, tyres, shock, fork springs, piston, rod etc.
Just need to order some new rims & spokes.
Just need to find the time between fishing/hunting & riding to put it back together.
I am in Hastings NZ.

Cheers suzuki59.
Thought it a bit silly to travel all that way to race only 1 class. ;D
Next up will be a 500 to complete the stable.
I normally ride a 300 and am still getting used to the tiddler.
250's are my cup of tea.
See you at taranaki.
