Ive always wondered but never got an answer why do the solos go one way and the sidecars go the other direction on the track. Was great to see them both at HBBB going around been a while since Ive seen them the no brake thing still intrigues me as well.

Placement of sidecar dictates direction of a speedway unit. Could go the other direction on tracks straights.....

friend asking questions to satisfy or intensify your mind does not make you a dill, Cheers :)

I may not agree with what you have to say, but I'll defend to the death your right to say it.

Thanks Tim sort of worked that bit out but why/how did they start up/end up in the opposite configurations in the first place.

You'd be a "dill" if you didn't ask questions.

Speedway sidecars could rightly be blamed on Australia, the careful little cobbers we are.... my thoughts, back in the early years they would have all come from road going machines , which side of the road do we drive and place our sidecars on. Yep we are mongrels....

Thanks for that Tim...........I have everything covered, except the back protector........any suggestions, which would be the best to wear under a leather suit ? ???

after going to Nepean a couple of weeks ago, I will probably be one of the FEW riders still wearing leathers. I will say here and now, I have never liked KEVLAR........after Jason Crump copped a bad injury the year before he retired, he saw THE LIGHT and went back to wearing leathers....Smart move... ;D

Regarding the sidecars,... in England they have lefthanders and right handers on grasstrack.
Regarding Dave's leathers,...Yeehaa!! Go Dave ,it's all starting to come together.
                     Sorry I mean ALVIN ;D
