It was another good year at Broadford with Saturday being the busiest day. Sunday was a bit quieter with a few calling it quits early.
GMC products were on display on the Saturday but for Sunday I just socialised and took a few pictures, that was until my batteries went flat early.

All was going well for me on Saturday until the ‘incident’
My wife Kay had wandered off for a coffee and while she was away I spied a KL engine for sale nearby. That will come in handy for a future project I thought, even though I had promised myself no new projects until I finish some I already have.
So I bought the motor and sat it down next to the quick shade along side some other parts that had been left with me for others to pick up. She won’t even notice it there I thought to myself.

I wandered off myself for a bit more of a look after Kay returned but when I came back some twenty minutes later and sat down beside her she looked at me and said
“You’ve been out buying parts haven’t you”
"No, No" I said sheepishly, "I haven’t been buying anything".
Damn I thought to myself, how did she know that engine was mine.
“Yes you did, don’t you lie to me” she said.
Knowing I was sprung I fessed up.
"Yes okay then, that’s my motor sitting there" I said nervously
“Motor? What motor?” she said.
“I was talking about that fuel tank that someone dropped off for you.

Doh, double bugger, I gave the game up to early!!

Leaving on the Sunday we were searched to make sure that bikes we had on the trailer belonged to us. No real issue for us but I questioned the young fella as to what was going on and he said that some bikes had been pinched. Any one got any idea what occurred and if indeed bikes were pinched?

Don't be too hard on Kay Geoff. When Bill Forsyth was taking a pic of you and I suggested that he should use a wide-angle lens Kay sprang straight to your defence, almost implying that she would inflict bodily harm upon me for the comment (well, in truth it may have been the final result of cumulative smartarse comments from me breaking the camels back I suppose)!

Unfortunately I didn't make it to Broadford this year. Ray Murray a friend of mine did though and he sent me a few of the pictures he took from the Bonanza weekend. I hope they turn out o/k has I had to reduce the quality heaps to get the files small enough to post here ....
