Uni Filter Pod - 63mm inlet
« on: March 20, 2013, 11:33:44 pm »
As the title says, I urgently need a unifilter for my KX (no airbox unfortunatley) before this weekend.  i will try to get one tomorrow locally however don;t fancy my chances to be honest.

It needs to have a 63mm (or 2 1/2 inch in the old money) inlet.

Would prefer to buy a new one if possible however happy to borrow one if I can.

Help .. anyone ... please  ;D

Thanks Chris, I would prefer a foam one but at this stage I'll take anything.  Can I get it by tomorrow night?  I'm in Qld and you are??  Act by the looks of your login ID?

Done. New one organised, thanks mainline.

Only problem was I can't get it here by today and they aren't open tomorrow.  Does anyone that is going tomorrow live in the Brendale area and can swing by and pick it up for me??

I probably could depending on when they shut, but I won't get to Battered Sav until lunch probably

You could check if Shane - stw996 is coming on the weekend. He works just around the corner

Yes thanks Mainline (will have to meet you this weekend .. look for my dark green 80 series rego MY080).

I did speak with Shane but he's not coming .. in fact he was saying he's pretty much over the VMX scene completely.  That's a great pity because whilst I don't know Shane that well having only met him (and I think his brother??) at a few meetings over the last couple of years, he always put into the sport from my observations.  He sponsored events/classes and his bikes were real show pieces.  I think we are a bit poorer for not having him and I hope he decides to come back.

No worries Craig, it was worth the price of admission just to spectate at the mini track while the battle royale was raging  ;D

Sure was mate.  You know the next day my young fella wanted to ride the big track with the other kids  :o  Talk about a turn around .. this from a kid who only 3 months ago told me he wasn't interested in motorcycles.  He went out and crashed a couple of times but kept on trying .... brilliant result .. and everyone was so supportive .. awesome  ;D

That was the highlight of my weekend ... in fact my year to date.
