Great turn up on Saturday for track maintenance, big machinery maintenance and the track looks great and vintage friendly, this is definateley one you dont want to miss, if you havent put an entry in for this one, get it in now or your going to miss riding on a cracker of a track, if you havent been to Glenbawn, do yourself a favour, cant wait and counting down the days 8)

Paid up to race this week.Take bike out Sat arvo to run in and it shits 3rd gear. Working interstate this coming week, won`t get time to fix it. After 12 months of restoration i am so disappointed.

Am still coming to meeting and was wondering if i could ride my modern bike in practice, but obviously not in a race.

Just back from Lake Glenbawn after a fantatastic weekends entertainment
track was terrific and some big entry's  (75 plus riders) made the racing excellent

Pre 85 open

The big 4 strokes trying a couple of different styles

And while the pre 75 grids weren't full an interesting range of machinery

more to follow

Yeah, it was good. :)

Some random thoughts:

1. Snowy's near death experience on his Evo 250... Think of the most front-heavy landing you've ever seen, then make it more front heavy... But he rode it out, somehow.

2. Picking up a foot off the track. :D

3. The bolt-in-the-holed-piston trick DOES work, and isn't just an urban myth. Big thanks to everyone who loaned me parts and/or tools for the exercise. And an extra big thanks to Rossco who was winding me up about it before the race ("How many laps will it last? Two? One? A half?"), and then DNF'd the race himself, handing the win to Neville and second place to me.  ;D ;D

4. Awesome track. These huge jumps that even ancient trail-bikes with crap suspension land softly from. Amazing. I even learned roughly where it went by the end of the meeting.

5. Great vibe among the punters - everyone willing to help other people out, everyone apparently in a good mood.

Etc.

As always, big thanks to everyone who made it happen.

Dont get to exited there Nathan, only threw the chain, slipped it back on and still managed to finish behind you or a third, but i will have to be more  aware of this Karma stuff, great track, good times, never gonna drink again ::)

Which brings me onto the Ten buck cup!!!!!!!!! ;D
