I'm guessing Bruce has been busy, lot nicer looking than his 441. Won't know himself with it being all shiny

Bruce had a bit of a forking problem today at Fordell, lucky it was just before the top of a uphill

No damage to him & tubes look straight still, should be back up & running during the week

Tony--one of my lot was over there today, [on a 125N Yam i think] said it was a fun day apart from the cold wind for the crew spectating etc. Bruce is "the Man" riding the A50--or A65, i imagine it would make my T100 mettise  [if i still had it--boo hoo] seem like a toy. Hope he's ok but hell, always had nightmares about something like that happening. I remember Pete Ploen on a TM250 [in the old days] with the fork springs 'over' preloaded & coil bound then broke the top off the damper rods [we think that's what happened] forks went to the bottom except over jumps & think he still stayed ahead of us lot [we were laughing so hard]. Suppose in theory they should have come apart like Bruce's but didn't luckily.

Ouch.....What type of forks are they? Did her forget to tighten the dampener bolts? I saw that happen to Michael J Pollard in Little Fauss and Big Halsy. ;D

Was talking to your boy Morley, think my 465 may be sorted after that. Really fun track, power ruled for once
Firko, not sure of the brand but the damper rods still had the bolts done up. Bruce mentioned circlips holding the forks together

look like BSA fork top nuts & yokes, googled A65 forks & [like my BSA B33 forks the bottom bush looks held on by a nut & the top bush held in by the seal holder. In the old days the topping out was done by the bottom bush coming up against the top bush. A65 shows a sliding damper as opposed to just a mushroom in the bottom like the B33, i'd think if it topped out by the damper [topping out] & popped a circlip then the bottom bush running into the top bush should 'rule' & not be able to "fall" right apart as such. Maybe i'm wrong!!. Put Norton fork on mine back then--good they were too.

I remember from the early '50s a photo going around  (first saw it in the PIX magazine ) of a Velocette in a scrambles meet, it was well airborne over a jump with the front forks lower legs slid out about 6 inches! Would not have been a happy ending! Any one else seen that one?
cheers pancho.
