Bike mods to suit Qld VMX
« on: March 06, 2013, 01:16:24 pm »
Another Tropical Depression off Townsville, could form into another Cyclone in the next few days. More rain in Qld, just what we need!! I am seriously thinking of adding floaties to Swingarms, Pegs and Handle Bars just to get a ride. I have seen mod kits so a MX Bike can be run on snow, rear wheel replaced with tracks and front wheel replaced with a ski. Maybe we can work out a way a MX bike can be run under water. It may only take one very long intake snorkle and very long up swept stinger pipe. Just a thought.

Great video Lozza, unfortunately the thick German or Irish accents makes it hard to understand what the guys were saying.

We had a guy come into the bike shop I worked in back in the early 70s with  CB350 who had huge air-hoses on the handlebars & connected to the carbs on the other end. He wanted us to fit one-way valves to the exhausts so he could ride thro floodwaters as he was tripping around Australia. Might have been the same bloke. I think the boss told him to get lost - it'd never work.
