Seeing as I was lucky enough that nobody wanted to buy my '81 YZ125 (except Paul......
) I'm happy to start getting as good cosmetically as it is mechanically.
My aim is to get it looking decent and riding really well, not for a concourse resto.
First up: plastics. The DC kit looks ok and the price is certainly right. Anyone had any experience and are there any alternatives?
Next we're onto the wheels. Do any other model wheels fit? IT175 maybe? I just want good, straight wheels that aren't as rusty as the originals.
Finally, the rear shock has excellent damping and is adjustable but the spring rate is too light for my fat arse. Is there another reasonably inexpensive option? Maybe 250 or 465 spring?
Sorry for all the questions.......... again.......... any advice most gratefully accepted.
