z spokes, IT hubs

A mate has started fixing up an 86 IT200 which has the conventional spoked disc front end but the Z spoke rear. Is it worth persevering with these or would it be better to swap the rear hub to a different model. If so, what would be the best swap?

to get rid of the Z spokes you'd have to use an earler IT175 hub as these are the only 2 IT's with the chain on the same side as the brake, the YZ100/125 J-K's rear hub was normal spoke too but the YZ's brake hub was a floating one so would need some mods to fit.

*i have a compete IT175 rear wheel/brake, axle and spacers that would do, if he's interested send me a pm

Cool, thanks for that. I'll let him know. I think he's looking at new rims and spokes anyway , would you be willing to cut the rim off to save on postage to brissy?

Thanks, looks like he's picked up the IT175 setup to piss the Z spokes off.
