500d versus 465z front rim
« on: February 26, 2013, 10:20:11 pm »
Hi Suzuki Guys,

expertise needed, i have just bought a nos rm500 rim, correct part number for 500d but date code is 5/81 and i am wondering if it might not be a 465z rim instead, WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENCES? They look identical side by side, the single shoe hub is bigger dia. than the tls hub so spoke angles might be slightly different, other than that look identical, what do you reckon?

Could be for a 125Z which has the same size hub. But I would think they would be a multi purpose rim to suit all the models. Also all years X,Z,D,E.
Should not be any drama to lace it up as the spoke angle would not be that much different. May even have a spare set of NOS spokes if you need ;)

Thanks D,
thought you'd knowsomethingabout these!  I think i am right for spokes, but might need some for another wheel later, will let you know, might also need a set for RM465 rear (different length to everything else by the look of it), PM me with what you have and how much and i will store it in my file!
thanks Jas,
