Yz wide pegs

I remember seeing someone posting here on wide pegs to suit early yzs .

I thought I remember that pw80 pegs would fit on my yz125d ??

I really want to keep the originals if I can (rather than using weld ons)

Not sure about the D sorry, but the PW50 pegs definitely fit H model YZ's.  If you keep looking you will find them with springs and new pins.  No drilling out mount holes or anything.  Just put 'em straight on.

If someone can confirm D is the same as H you are in business.

Here's some ally ones.  Not sure how the ally would go....

The only triple jumps he would have been doing are the hop, skip & jump.

They look suspiously like the ones I had in black, they were utter rubbish- 1 hole was 9mm so they pointed downwards & the castings were porous, the springs didn't fit that well with 1 side binding up
Ended up minus a peg at the bottom of a hill in practise at the second round of the nz vmx season when the holes linked up, really glad I wasn't jumping when it happened
I bought a set of the PFR pegs off VMXunlimited & the difference in quality is night & day
Look in the for sale section & you'll find Wasp has a set of PFR pegs the same as mine for $65 from memory

Those pegs are the el Cheapo cast iron Chinese pegs that give the Chinese stuff a bad rep. The best ones are these forged Stainless Steel pegs, also made for PW50 JR50 etc. They fit all of the full sized Yamahas I've tried 'em on including my IT250J. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Stainless-Steel-Foot-Pegs-for-Honda-CRF-50-70-90-pit-dirt-bike-CRF-50-70-90-/150995306439?pt=Motorcycles_Parts_Accessories&hash=item23280587c7&vxp=mtr

There still made out of plastic Firko and my legs/ankles/hips and the rest of my old body is worth more to me than a pair of chinesse chinka footpegs to save a few bucks.....there is no recourse if something tragic happened....I really dont know why you keep pushing the chinesse shit....especially since you dont see any action these days and I'm sure if you fronted to your doctor with busted up legs after he rebuilds them for you cause of a chinka footpeg he would not be a happy camper.

I just fitted a set of cheaper style wide footPegs to my IT200, lined up perfectly, springs locate and operate great. All for under $40, there's a reason why firko has a hoard of beautiful old (desirable) bikes and we rarely see his name pop up in the "for sale" section and it's most likely cause he doesn't piss lots of coin away on high priced items that can be had for a lot less when you're not a slave to brand names and bling labels!  ;)

Please tell us of your "horror stories" regrading cheaper style wide foot pegs, obviously you've had bad experiences going by your comments?
