Yamaha SC 500 CDI UNIT..........working or NOT WORKING !!
« on: February 16, 2013, 07:23:44 am »
If anyone has a failed CDI unit off an SC 500, I have found a company in England that can repair or replace them. Finding a unit going or not going is my QUEST. 8)

Alvin, there is a fella in Melbourne, who repaired the CDI from one of my Yammies, and fixed the problem, that causes them to fail and I think he has some older units, I'll look up his details and let you know.

Just fit the entire CDI ignition from a 76-78 DT400 or similar and you'll be thanking me later on Dave :D.

nah PD - the one I was thinking of was these guys:

http://www.rexcauntracing.com/pages/pvl_products.html

Only guys I know that sell parts for PVL's rather than making you buy a complete unit - got some bits for my YZB through them.

cheers

I think Les at VMX Unlimited sells parts for PVL. I bought a coil off him.
