Firko whats the head on the bench in first photo left side infront of the RT2m cylinder ?
Iain, it's a Jones DT1 head as seen in the centre below
Webco, Jones and ACK DT1 heads.Using the Jag bonnet as a work bench...nice touch
Nope, never. What you can see is a jug sitting on my toolbox trolley.
Hey Firko ,what were you working on to bend the handle on the vice? That is a big vice with a big handle
I've often wondered the same thing...I found the vice in a skip years ago, did some minor repairs and it's beeen a good and humble servant ever since.
Looks like a swingarm of the gods in the making on the purple box in the first photo as well Firko.
Nothing so exotic, it's merely an old BSA B44 swingarm that I was doing some work on for a mate.
I like the lived in feel of a well used shed. I have a mate who's into street rods and his garage is done up like a fifties milk bar, juke box and all. As cool as it is for parties, it doesn't seem right to actually work in it. My shed looks messy (and I guess it is) but I know where nearly everything is and I've got most of the stuff a proper blokey shed needs. I'm an incurable tool and gizmo junky so there's no shortage there and I've got shitloads of storage thanks to old shelving from a closed down Black Stump restaurant and 8 used $10 filing cabinets off eBay. My main bench started life as a part of a sheet folding machine at an industrial laundry and my small stainless steel engine building bench was once used in that same Black Stump restaurant for food preparation. I've got a full sized 'fridge with 40 years worth of sticker history and a bunch of boutique beer and cider, a classic Marantz sound system and best of all in this stinkin' summer, air conditioning. I've also got a 3m x 3m garden shed for the future projects and I have some other bikes at a mates place. I'm soon to build another 3 metre garden shed to hold my completed bikes in one place away from all of the possible mishaps in the garage.
