The XC was designed for the US desert market. big suspension, enduro gearbox but no compliance over here. only the WR's were complied and the CR's didnt need reg. so not to many xc's about.
a bloke i know was a husky dealer for a short period and his first demo bike was an xc like that one. it frightened the crap out of everyone!
once we tightened the engine mounts up and fixed a whole lot of little things it wasnt too bad to ride.
a bloke bought it off him and i can vividly remember him passing me in a ride (race) at the army base like i was standing still (probably was) then i found him half a k up the track staggering out of the bush where it had cartwheeled him into the scrub!
the look on his face was priceless.
a few of us converted our wr's by ripping the spacers out of the shox and fitting the long sliders and damper rods. 13"s of magic carpet ride...
