Model 135 Black Beauties
« on: December 18, 2012, 06:48:09 am »
Just picked up these Black Beauties for my Model 135 Pursang.  I had the classic blue and wihite spring Works shocks before, but they were a little long and I decided to try the all black look with the new set.

 :)

They were a set that someone never paid for and I got them a song.  I think you can order them all black from the catalog ($$$).

I wanted that Telesco look.  ;D

Firko,

Here is a listing on eBay.  I just lucked into a pair that were gathering dust on the shelf.  ;D

Wow, not cheap. In recent weeks I've bought two sets of Works shocks off Marks Swapmeet, one 13'' alloy and one set 13.5'' steel for a total of $370. I've put longer shafts taken from an old pair of finned Works shocks I had in the 13" set and they're now 13.75", just what I wanted for the Cheney. I fitted new seal kits I got from Vintage Iron 12 years ago and fresh oil....all up owning me about $200 per set. I now wish I'd  anodized the alloy ones black while they were apart.
