Many thanks to the Sunshine Coast boys and girls for running this event. Great track, well organised and a great vibe.

Here's a link to a full lap of the course... Quality is poor but you'll get the idea. (I used an app on the ipad to edit, then uploaded the file straight from photos) Change the settings to 720P  :) when viewing.

Congratulations to the organisers, it sounds like this was a great event. It would've been one of the first competitive vinduro events in Australia.

It's a long drive from Vic, but I'd love to try and get there next year if it's on again.

By the way, who won the 125cc Air Cooled class, and what were they riding?

Tex

Thanks to Noel and the club, I had a ball, I couldn't kill the husky and lasted all day, gave me 2nd place in pre 90 so I think I might have to wash it now ;D.

I cant believe how fast the lap times were in all the class's, some old guys are so fast on old bikes.

cheers Worms

A big thank you must go out to the Sunshine Coast MCC, in particular Noel, Ricky, Peter and the girls for running a fantastic event. The track layout was great and the riding conditions were fantastic. Lets not not forget the camp fire talk on Saturday night. A great weekend all round. Thanks guys and gals.

Yeah, I think it was.  About time we did it.  http://ozvmx.com/community/index.php?topic=14629.0
The riding on Sat and the sprint format Sun, worked really well and with transponders the scoring was simple but added to the cost.  Would be great to run one in Vic where you have a good following for Vinduros.

The 125 classes was a fail.  I knew with that many classes it was over ambitious.  But I had them in there to make people think about entering as there was a class for them.  I will think more about the classes.

The fact is what let the whole event down was the lack of riders.  This is not from a $ point of view (although it makes running it again tougher) but the event was so good it deserved more entries.  It also has dampening effect other clubs wanting to run one.
What was good was the number of entries of x enduro riders that came many just to support the event.
I will have to sell it better to the VMX guys next time.  Although, I don't think this W/ends inter club helped.

Hey  ;D has anyone seen any other photo's going around besides Team IT...... there was such a variety of bikes to be seen and seemed like a lot of people taking photo's around the track.  ;D ;D

Great pics looks like plenty of blue Kingswoods out in force.
Let's face it some dirt bikes were never meant to be ridden.

Yo Noel, as mentioned earlier, great event!

I did buy a YZ125K to ride at the event (just like I rode in 1983), but didn't get it finished in time....    :'(

So I thought I'd take the safe route and ride my IT400C, as its never let me down (and Tatey and I wanted to make sure some older bikes were entered).

Unfortunately, I didn't realise until the first lap, that sometime since I last rode it a year ago, all the nitrogen had leaked out of the shock....   ::)

8 laps with almost no rear suspension, and forks raked out like a chopper...  No wonder I could hardly walk the next day!

Hey Noel sorry its taken so long for me to get on and thank you and the Club for a fantastic event and weekend we had a ball !
I haven't ridden a competitive enduro since 1990 and wow what a great event to start back at ! Picked a great class to ride under 200 air cooled and my little it200 never missed a beat, had a great time racing with Dave Wagner most of the day.
Looking forward to more old guy ridding an old bike soon !
