DG pipes for 82 CR250's
« on: December 03, 2012, 10:30:10 pm »
Anyon had any problems with these ? I bought one a while back from Dirtoverstaock and tried to fit it but theres no way.The pipe will have to be cut and extended  after it turns from the exhaust port  so that the mid section clears the downtube .At the moment the pipe miss's the exhaust port by about half an inch with the mid section hard on the frame.Another guy who race's VMX in Victoria told me the exact same story. >:(Anybody else?

A mate just bought a DG pipe/muffler for his YZ125K and neither fit....seems to be a common problem now days....needs cutting/bending/welding...they may be cheap but they shaw are shit.
QVMX.....Australia's #1 VMX club......leading the way.

We had to cut and weld the pipe to fit a YZ400E. Muffler was worse. After a bit of effort they look great. Should not have to do that though.

Both the pipes on my 74 & 85 CR125's fit perfect,I am using a DMC muffler on the 85 & the 74 is integral so cannot comment on the mufflers :)

The DG pipe on my mates 79 CR250R sticks out like dogs balls & I reckon in a stack on that side it would be the first thing to hit the ground :'(

The problem is that Dirt overstock often advertise pipes that are not actually the right year. Its probably a mistake on their end... I have heard of this happening to a good number of other buyers.

For example I brought a 1983 Honda CR250 pipe from them & when it turned up it was actually for the 1982 model.

So it was not DG manufacturing at all...

Tread very carefully with Dirt over..
