1974 Yamaha DT250A clean-out. $200/lot. SOLD, pending payment.

SOLD, pending payment.

What you see is what you get... along with any other odds-and-sods I might unearth...  :D

Frame with motor in it is my original one since forever. Matching numbers, was running great when parked. Since been raped for parts, as you can see.

Triples are YZ-B alloy type. Bottom one was polished up properly, will come good again with minimal work.

Front hubs are 1K7 and 2A6 types.

Spare clutch cover in this photo is DT360, not 250.

Seat base (under cranks) has two cracks repaired (and obvious surface rust) - makes it the best DT-A seat base I've ever seen (seat on bike was repaired using half an LC Torana roof in 1992 or so...)

Black sprocket suits DT hub. Alloy sprocket is MX-A, has new teeth welded onto old centre. Not sure how well it would work, but seems OK.
Brand new front sprocket in bag (under MX rear sprocket).

Tyres are old but have plenty of tread. Wheel is MX250A.

Ugly looking motor has a beautiful crank. DT-B top end and other parts in photo are included.

$200 for the lot, or make me an offer.

In Yass, southern NSW.
Can deliver to Canberra and possibly further afield for some petrol money.

$200 is a steal for someone wanting to build a poor-boy pre 75 racer. Not everyone can afford an OSSA Phantom so if you use these parts carefully and with a bit of lateral thinking, a great little racer can be done for under a $1000.

Exactly what I was hoping for... :)

I can help out with some other parts if someone wants to go down that path - front rim, spokes, throttle assembly, kill-switch, etc. There's also a YZ400D carburetor included, that I forgot to take a photo of.
