For those who haven't seen them elsewhere.
Anti vibration brackets.

I like the idea perhaps on the 400. Never had any vibrations issues with any of my Huskies, always quite smooth.
Let's face it some dirt bikes were never meant to be ridden.

Must be the bikes age or something Maico.
Although a lot of guys in Amerika are wondering how to stop the vibrations in their 400's.
My 400 vibrates when up in the revs and the 240 sends my right leg to sleep and vibrates the rear light bulb to bits.
The 240 I have pulled to bits , learn't how to balance a single , and practiced on.
With the balance and the stay it's as smooth as.
The 400 I just wacked the stay on to see what would happen.
It seams to have fixed it.
Cheers

I had a 250 xc that used to vibrate like crazy.
Have there been any long term issues with that head stay ?
It looks like it needs to allow for some flex...perhaps some kind of rubber mounts where it attaches to the head.

Have to wait and see Evo as I havn't had a chance to ride it any distance.
This is all experimental at the moment.
With the main mounting bolt and the front mounts all solid I think that this will work.
But I rekon that if there is a problem it will try and tear the head off.

Don't get me wrong, it's a fine bit of work, I just thinking that if there is any flex/twisting of the bottom frame rails and the main front down tube remains solid it could create some issues.
I think the cylinder base bolt lugs holding down the cylinder would be in trouble first, If I remember correctely the first water cooled KX 500's and some 465/490 yamaha's had this problem.

Evo mate you've forgotten the difference between european and jap.
Huskys have through bolts ,  one piece from the top to bottom.
Those 2 shiny nuts on top are screwed to bolts about 10" long.
If I find a problem I will post it and not save face by forgetting to say anything.
Cheers.

You're right Evo, not so much IT465 but definately IT200. They always seem to break barrel mounting lugs. I've got one that broke completely across the front of the barrel because the rear head stay was attached. Common rule now is to remove it.
Let's face it some dirt bikes were never meant to be ridden.

Your right I had forgotten, that's just because they are so reliable that I never needed to strip one down ;)
