sell the lot and buy your own home and build a shed
Somehow I don't think that selling these bikes is going to make enough for a deposit Dave. It's a bit presumptious to think that CG or anyone can just walk in to a real estate agent and plop down the dough to buy a house. We don't know all of CG's financial commitments and It's none of your or anyone elses business whether CG buys or rents anyway.

After spending most of today reviewing my options, which are almost none, I will probably sell most of the bikes but keep my licensed DR250Z and the 1980 RM250 (which is still going to be a squeeze to do at work) so I will spend the weekend doing an inventory of the parts and pieces I have for each bike and photograph everthing and work out a price which will get them sold without me having to make a massive loss on them.

WOW, all I saw in your post was your avatar and the word "squeeze"  :)
All seriousness, thats bad news, I'll try and help keep the TT over here in the West (maybe you could do a trip up to the Kimberley, and do a Gibb river trip on it)

Yes Dave you are missing something, he never said he earned 150 a year.
It's always a bit catch 22 with house pricing, you may find a cheaper house but it will be miles from where any real work is.

Am I missing something here, He say`s a house is 500,000, and his income is a $150,000 a year, there has to be house around for less then that, when I bought my first house my weekly wage was $350 per week. married with 3 kids, one income, age 24, owned it at 39, my first deposit was $7000, purchase price $40,000

Sorry my income is NOT $150,000 per year, that is the limit any finacial institution will  lend to someone on my income.

Based on your figures (back then) your annual salary was just less than half the purchase price of your home, these days it would be 11 times my salary to buy a house.
MANY people like me have been comprehensively priced out of the housing market, my rent is only $230p/w the average for my suburb is $540p/w I can't afford to move or buy anything substantial (new car etc) I like my place as it is only 4km from my work (I can walk there if I have no other means) so moving somewhere as cheap means a crime riddled neighbourhood or a very long drive.

I don't reckon you'd have too many intellectual property disputes if you borrowed some of it...

That's a very good question Wally.
So why do you regularly slagg off certain forum members?

Ah Walter, if you weren't so desperate to take shots at me, you might have realised that I am very gentle with Dave - I spoke to him just after the blow up with him and Brad (when I sold Dave some F11 stuff) and got an insight into the bloke that removed any desire to "hack on him".

Of all the comments made to and about him, you've found the absolute harshest one I've ever made while ignoring the plethora of much, much harsher comments made by other people.

It's an interesting paradox you've created there... ;)
