Might have to sell up
« on: November 08, 2012, 02:48:50 pm »
My dream run of having bikes/workshop in the spare room of my duplex is coming to an end (after 17 years)  :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(

My landlord and the owner came round to tell me of all the renovations they want to do and after that NO MORE BIKES/PARTS inside the house  >:( >:( >:( >:(

I can't afford a storage unit (although they did suggest I build a shed  ::)) nor do I have mates enough to keep everthing at their houses or at work for that matter, which would mean I can't work on them when I feel like it. I probably have no other option but to sell them to someone who is lucky enough to have a garage or workshop at home. Moving to a new place is not an option I have it quite cheap here ($230 p/w)

Bikes in question would be my:
1981 Yamaha IT175 (Undergoing resto many new and restored parts including rebuilt engine)

1981 Yamaha TT250 (Dismantled undergoing resto many new and restored parts including powdercoated frame)

1984 Kawasaki KX125 (A rider but needs leaky crank seal and buggered clutch seen to)

1989 Kawasaki KX125 (Undergoing resto many new and restored parts including powdercoated frame and full UFO plastics kit)

1980 Suzuki RM250 (Dismantled needs all plastics, engine rebuild, exhaust, seat foam/cover)

That's crap, CG...

As always, transport would be a pain, but keep me in mind if/when the 84 KX needs to find a new home.
The good thing about telling the truth is that you don't have to remember what you said.

Noooo !!!!!

There has to be another way.  What about a 3.6 x 3.0metre garden shed. ?
Looking for YZ250C parts NOS if possible

That’s a bugger, a man is incomplete without a shed.
Might be easier to start looking for something else with a shed if you believe the rent is going to go up anyway.

The 84 KX 125 is one bike that’s on my wish list but cash flow won’t allow.
Curiosity has got the better of me now though, did the 125’s have the number plate rear guard like its big brothers or did it have sideplates?

New cheap sheds appear everyday on Gumtree, CG. Usually you have to disassemble and remove them, but $100 to $200 will get you going. And yep, there's a rent increase on the way... ;)

he's over here in the west.  Michael offers there to place your bikes up here until you can figure out what to do.

sell the lot and buy your own home and build a shed, then start again, then you won`t have anybody tell you what to do.

Average house price in Perth is $500,000 I can afford on my income only $150,000. Even if I found a place I would'nt have a spare cent for bikes.
