Cartridge fork emulators

Hey

Has anyone used cartridge fork emulators and the damping rod kit (mods) in an 82 XR500RC?
If so it would be good to know how much they improve the fork performance.
What other mods would be available other than a set of cartridge fork emulators for the stock XR500RC forks?
