just wondering if anyone had any info they could share on a rm250b coil it seems to be a sealed unit not being able to change the coil lead to the plug i am pretty sure i got a break in it as seems reasonably stiff with a soft spot in it and depending on the way u hold it there is a faint spark comin from must be as it makes contact inside the rubber coating. I have a coil off a 93 model kwaka kx 80 i was goin to use it to see if thats where the problem lies but before i do i want to make sure its safe to test with and does anyone no where i can get a new coil for the bike or do they still make them any info would be great

Cut the wire off at coil housing... now find a screw about 30mm long ( neddle point buggle head ) screw it in about 10mm to 12mm - now cut the head off and put a point on the exposed end .... screw on a new lead putiing a dob of silicon at the join.
Job done

no no no!,
file the top of the coil down following the h/t lead remains,(expose the top of the lead where it lays in),it's just pushed into a spike, renew lead, shove it into the spike,& epoxy over it,(araldite??),bingo, your'e good to go!

i cut the glue away from the end of the coil and managed to break it free so i was able to put a new lead into it correctly works perfect
