TM400 close to finished
« on: November 02, 2012, 08:18:37 pm »
Just needs a seat cover and brake lever modification.... 71 lever has smaller pivot than 72 onward, airbox is RH250 with RM85 air filter assembly , CDI and oil bottle inside as kept auto lube.

interesting the differences between 71 and later TM400s

The old Cyclone's looking pretty nice Marc. What ignition are you running in it? I'm running the stock TM CDI with 1kg Skunk Works flywheel weights but I'm toying with using DT400 Yamaha CD1, seeing that it works so well on the RT1. I bought a pair of those Oriental Ohlins that are going onto my flat tracker.
I've sent you a PM too..........

Looks good Marc-Mike has done a good job on it ;D
Does this mean that we might see you out on the track soon?
You missed an awesome day at Halcombe yesterday, great open grassy track, that widow maker  (TM400) would have loved being tapped out on its long straights.

Yes Mike did indeed do a splendid job painting as usual, never said it was a solo effort mate. I did a splendid job finding, assembling it and paying for it.  ;)

Have been warming up the CR250RB a bit mate, we are in the same class, so I am having 3,4,5 gears removed from the box to save weight, as I heard you never get out of 2nd ;D
