Differences between RM250A & B ?
« on: September 26, 2012, 02:29:20 am »
Hey Guy's,

I'm toying with the idea of rebuilding an RM250A but I always wanted (again) a 250B, what are the differences between the two?

Would a 125B swingarm bolt into the A?

I think this link to two article will tell you all the differences.  It wasn't just the swingarm.  ;)

125B arm wont bolt into a 250A 125B arm is way smaller .

Some of the differences off the top of my head betweem 250 A and 250 B are bore and stroke ,Cyl head , chamber, muffler, air box , swinging arm , shocks, forks , shock mount position , front number board , Cdi ,seat , brake pedal, front axle , rear axle ,  Early A models have different tank , kickstart and shaft , magnesium rear hub.

I forgot Crankcases, gear lever, carb, some gears , shift forks ,throttle cable , stator /rotor , rear sprocket, and early A rear gaurd  ::) must be getting old  ;D

But of course in true Suzuki form 99% of the parts are interchangable  ;)

The main difference on the track is the long stroke motor and box section swingarm of the B. It has better power than the A and improved handling.

John find or borrow the Suzuki parts book for A and B (and S ,X etc ) as it has a lovely supplement with picture details of the various different parts for the models!!!!! ;) Yes I have one. Tim754
I may not agree with what you have to say, but I'll defend to the death your right to say it.
