KLX250-B differences
« on: April 12, 2008, 05:19:37 PM »

Does anybody know what is different (if anything) between the 'B' model KLX 250 (1981) & tha 'A' models?

Kaw claims an extra couple of horsepower at an extra 500rpm for the 'B' model. I can't find any part no fiches on the net for the B & C models so I can't compare part nos (tho I know the C model had 70.5mm bore compared to 70mm for the A).

Did the B model have bigger carb? Hotter cam? Better exhaust?

Or was it just a marketing spin?

I still have the manual for my KLX but I can't see anything that says what model it is.
No model No on the reciept except for KLX250.
On the 24-1-81 I paid $1500.00 for it + $119.80 for rego.

Heres the specs. page from the manual if thats any help.
