This does not replace Farleigh but is a competition within a competition - bear in mind nobody will have the home town advantage.

A few Aussies compete in the ICGP series, plenty of European based competitors lease bikes(and hospitality) to visiting riders. Would be nice to see a 4 or 5 round series at the famous tracks, Farleigh, Namur, etc

Please feel sorry for the lone poor South African bastard who rode a 125 in the GP class- our  only South African entrant- i regretably am involved in a corporate business transaction and had to travel to the UK and then to Sydney Australia the weekend of 28 September 2012 - i did not ride for fear of injury at a critical point in business time BUT a group of Suff Efricaaaans (me and my mates) will be there next year to race for the proposed twin shock trophy.

In Sydney next weekend - any VMX racing over the weekend of 28 September and 08  October in close proximity to Sydney? - I would like to watch, look and see our Suuuf eefricaaan competition

Where in Sydney will you be? There are no VMX shops as such in Sydney, there is a shop in Brookvale that sells old road bikes round about the 70's era

Probably St Ives or City Centre - any motocross VMX or modern scheduled for the 29 September or 06 October 2012  in close proximity to Sydney?

Many thanks

One of the challenges for anybody once removed from the UK and European continent is the logistics.

Given that South Africa and Australia are both competitive and compete regularly against each other- why dont we create a annual twin shock challenge between two nations that share similar challenges logistically   at Farleigh?

In stead of the Ashes maybe we can have a floating trophy - to be left in the care of the winning nation after Farleigh each year

Any interest?

Gents - based on the fact that there are no changes re Farleigh - do we have a challenge - very simple the team that finishes highest up the stakes in the twin shock class wins the floating trophy - I will start the ball rolling and donate the trophy if the Australians and New Zealanders are keen?

I am currently in Australia on business and really impressed with Sydney- could be back here on a more frequent basis .

Lets race for glory - after all you got the Ashes, Tri - Nations and now the prospect of the Hallowed Bronzed Boot as a trophy - my suggestion is that the New Zealanders could in the unlikely event they were unexpectedly to win it ask the All Black rugby team to house it in their empty trophy cabinet

Gavin,I suggest that you review your comment re the empty Kiwi trophy cabinet....given the RWC ,Rugby championship (new tri nations series including Argentina) and Bledisloe cup are packed within it.....
