Myrtleford Speedway and other photo`s
« on: September 17, 2012, 01:27:53 am »

Waiting to hear back from Les Garside, can`t believe we both fell off in the final. I don`t remember this at all.

This was my weslake as I had not bought the Godden yet.

This was the weslake after the Victorian Short Track Title at Bendigo.

Alan King had just warmed up the new godden and the newly rebuilt Weslake is in my second frame in the background.

Hey Hooney, you may need to watch this space as there have been a couple of meetings and working bee`s at Myrtleford over the last 6 months. I have not been aware, but I will do my best to get to the next one. You may have to by an old speedway bike and come play. Over twelve months ago I purchased my old Godden from my brother inlaw. Same bike I rode at Mrtleford in 99 and beat Kev Doolan in the A Final.

sold my old MkIV wessy (the one you rebuild the engine on) back in 1995-96 after i bought a house and stuggled with a few payments when out of work, sold it for the paltry sum of $1400 with daytona's, steel shoe, helmet colours, spare magic box sprockets and spares. shit i wish i had it still.

Hey Hooney my post may have been a little misleading. The meetings I believe were between the Sidecar Riders and the management board of the Myrtleford track. I want to get more involved with the process and will call Gary Timmerman and see what is going on. A working bee practice day would be good.
