Ajay's Crazy Bike Sale (aka the great bike cull)
« on: September 16, 2012, 12:01:17 pm »
OK, I admit that I have too many bikes and it's pretty bloody pointless seeing as I am not allowed to even ride a bike nowadays.  I guess I just like remembering the fact that I used to do it and have these bikes for that reason.

Anyway, I am having a fit of reality and it's pretty clear to me that I don't need nearly as many bikes as I have, to remember the good times of riding! So I am now going to let go the majority of my stable to people who probably would get more out of them than I will, by riding them.

The Bikes that are available for sale include:

1978 XR75
1981 RM465X
KLX 250
1984 KX250 (C2?)
1983 KX250 (C1?)
1982 KX250B x 2
1981 RM250X Basket Case (but complete)
1979 KX250A5 (currently partially dissembled)
1976 KX250
1974 KX250

The condition of the bikes varies from Very Good through to partially restored and needing bits).  Details of each particular bike can be provided.

If you are interested in any of these, please PM or email me.

Sometimes it is important to cleanse the shed so you can focus on what is important. I wish more VMX's would have an reality check and realize that they will not live long enough to finish the bikes they own so pass them on and get more bums on seats. You dont have an A4 125 ?

It's not like you to be so philosophically cosmic Slakey :o   I agree though, My racing days are long over so why have five motocrossers? I'm slowly thinning the herd so I can concentrate on sensible stuff like my flat trackers and street tracker project....stuff I can enjoy.

OK, the 1974 KX250 and also the KLX 250 are SOLD unless for some reason the money doesn't show up! (I am not expecting there to be any problems  ;))

Will advise more pricing for the other bikes ASAP....  ::)

I had actually forgotten just HOW nice the A5 was...  here's the photos of it when it was still in the USA.  It's VERY original and very complete.

Price still to be worked out...  ::)

It's a basket case - as described above.  ::)

Is it fully dissembled, with the exception of the lower end and gearbox.

It wasn't complete, but I did buy parts for it, so that I could complete the rebuild, which of course, never happened.  ::)

Sorry Shane, I've been busy with work stuff and slack with the pricng and photos of the bikes.  :(

I want to try and get out the bits of the RM250X and take some photos, so that people can understand what's involved and also what is included when you decide to buy it.  So far, I haven't had time to do that.

Here are some photos for the XR75....

1978 XR75 - $1,200 or near offer. (sorry about crap photos)
