Hi KTM181,
Nice choice of bike. I had an RM500E in the early 90's, and loved it. Easy to ride kind of bike, and not brutal like other 500's I thought.
Wish i still had it.
Ive heard the standard pipe holds these things back a fair bit.
I think "Vintage Suzuki" are the best choice for plastics. They are good in colour and shape, plus shiny like the originals. They scratch easy, but what doesnt?

http://www.vmxunlimited.com/categories/Suzuki/RM/ - this place sells them in Aus.
The engine is where things start to get hard. Especially in Conrods and transmission gears if needed.
I hear Suzuki and Wiseco no longer offer pistons, but I think Wiseco will make a batch if requested.
Also in another forum, someone mentioned a Wossner Maico 490 piston will fit straight in.
And someone on the net says contact Rick Horvat in the USA Ohio,
[email protected] . For original pistons.
Wossner says on there website, that they make custom Conrods to customers specs. If it were me, I would send them the original RM conrod to get a handfull made up. But only if you plan to keep the bike for a long period.
As for gears, I dont know what the go is.
Maybe somebody else can elaborate more on this model for parts?
Hope the RM treats you well.
Dont forget the loctite, as you know these things vibrate like crazy.
