Have you had time to fit the unit and give it a run yet. Have collected a nos source coil, new cdi compatible spark coil just need the box now. cheers Andrew

I'm presuming that this CDI unit will work with the DT400 ignition on one of my RT1's but I wonder if it'd work with the internal rotor MX250 ignition? Am I correct in thinking that the Rex pulserless unit replaces the standard Yamaha CDI box or does it run in conjunction with it? I'm waiting to see what IT400C thinks of it and if it's as good as the website says it'll be, I'm in for one ;).

It replaces the original CDI unit. When I emailed Marcus from rex's he said I would have to fit the cdi source coil  from a later bike not the points one as the points one put out to much power which would blow the box up and he recomended changing the spark coil to a cdi type one as well as he hadnt tried a points coil out yet, didnt ask about the mx250 type you could email him he was very helpful.

Damn......  My Master Plan has been discovered....    ::) ::)

haha - been very busy with work, and just haven't had the inclination to make the time to do it while the bike's been working...  (I used the ignition off another bike prior to the Murphy's Creek Vinduro)...

 ;D

After seeing this post and sick of the kick back from my DT 360 I ordered one of the pulserless CDI boxes.
I have hooked it up and the news is all good starts easy and sounds more lively. ;D
I have not had the chance to ride it yet and see if the flat spot has gone.
Need to spend a bit more time in the shed and less at work.
