I need someone to assemble / restore my CR450R
« on: August 22, 2012, 08:08:45 pm »
Guys
Like the title says, I'm looking for someone who can assemble my CR450R 1981.
This will sound crazy but I have no idea of what state the bike is in, but i presume it is completely dissasembled.
I sent the bike off to get restored 3.5 years ago I have no idea what has been done as I cant get a straight answer from the person i sent it to.
Im more than happy to pay the right person to do the job for me.
I believe the bike is currently in Bendigo, so someone in Victoria would be ideal.
I can be contacted on mobile 0413 540 197

A friend runs a business call Allbikes, he is in Mickleham (about an hour north of Melb) he has a large workshop at home, he is almost finished building-up his DT2MX, he rides a big-bore WR250 (295) and roadraces a Yam R6.

His name is Will, he also offeres a pick-up & delivery service, and is quite happy to search the internet/ebay to find rare & cheap parts for his customers.

Call him on 0408 130 028, he has a daytime job Tue, Wed & Thurs, does his work in the evenings and Mon & Fri's so he is reasonably priced.  He was the Mechanic for Yamaha City for many years before working from home.

Tell him Johnny O sent you  :-)

Just so we're all on the same page here, I have Kevins bike and yes I have been slack due to events. However Kev does know the state of the bike as he's been told recently, he actually wants to sell it if anyone is interested. Threats make me go slower. By the way anyone who wants to venture in "underbelly style" come on over. Kevins deposit & a heap more has been spent by the way on his bike..

Geez you blokes go in boots and all b4 u find out the facts best you get all parts of the story.I myself only knpart  of the circumstances but as k has said money has been spent on bike and k has had a rough few years with the loss of his wife and also young fellas who crash riding and then cannot come to work. These might seem excuse but  until u r in the same situation then I think u should all let the owner sort it out with k  cheers

Old Indian saying

Don't judge a man (especially a top shelf type of man) until you have walked a couple of miles in his Moccasins   8)
Autos are the way forward , see you round like a robot
Take the short cut, go Cross Country
The shortest distance between two points is Cross Country

So true. This would have been much better handled away from the forum. There's two sides to every story. ;)
