XT250 TANK.
« on: April 08, 2008, 06:38:01 pm »
Chasing a decent tank for early to mid 1980s XT250. Clean inside minor dents ok. Current tank had been beaten to death.

Single cams I think mate.
One is 1980 model, one 1985, another one looks same but ID tag is gone so cant get exact year. Those 3 bikes all have exhaust port on right side of the head and have round steel swingarms. The 4th bike is I think tag says 1983 but had square steel swingarm and exhaust port is on the left side.  ??? Out of the 4 bikes their just one seat and one smashed in tank. 3 of the engines turn over and one is locked up.

Will keep it in mind mate. The only reason I have the 4 I have now is they were 100% free. Just come and pick them up deal. At moment im interested in a tank to one going to race on oil track and have bunch of spares as well.

Quicky CGs pictured XT200 white tank is the one I have (except it is the red version...) You stated elsewhere one of your freebies maybe the pictured XT200? Tim       This Tank will fit Yamaha XT200 models > 15Y and 15A.

Tim. It might be better if you hang on to the 200 tank mate for someone building a 200. I plan on doing nothing with the 200 at this point. Didnt know their such a difference between to 250 and 200. Thanks for though mate.  ;)

GregACT might have the tank for the job.
