Is it Simons or Simons?

Sitting around a camp fire at the Heaven event last weekend the topic of Simons Forks came up. Some were pronouncing Simons as it is in Simon Says and some were pronouncing it as it is pronounced in Simmons Plains. I always thought it was the version as pronounced in Simon Says. Anyone know?

 I have always said simon says use simons forks
 but I was always not 100% sure if its said simon or simmons

  I have noticed that a lot of city folk pronounce tour as tooer but then they agree with us country bumkins that the word pour should not be pronounced pooer.
