I think that's the same guy that had the XL350 not so long ago. It 'sold', then appeared a few weeks later again. It had no reserve but one bidder bid  a few times and the price went up every time.
Dunno, how that works, but I'd be veeeerrrry careful.................

The guy is a goose.. he does that everytime he advertises something. I wouldn't bid on anything he has, it's likely to disappear forever.

Perhaps he fakes the auctions to give his insurance company an idea on the bikes "real" value for "agreed value" cover. Then there will be a tragic and mysterious incident where all the bike get destroyed in a fire or stolen followed by a lot of rare part auctions  ;) ;) ;)

I just don't think like this; but it's a great idea for the devious.

thats interesting - I am one of the bidders on this last time out.  It is frustrating as it started out no reserve but with a high starting price - no bids - then became a reserved auction and got several bids up to nearly $6K (all during the same time frame the first one hadn't finished).  It didn't make reserve even though it had been dropped a couple of times.  Then it comes back on with a slightly lower buy it now.

I also would of thought that the seller would of realised that it isn't going to sell at $7.5K - most of the interest stops just short of $6K.  He appears to be trying every avenue to get around $7.5K and I dont think that is going to happen?

I am no Yamaha expert, so I pose the question as to what it actually is? I thought a YZ250B was 1975, may be wrong though. Anyone know for sure?
Cheers,

Bigk the YZB's are a '74 model. I know that because i saw Trevor Flood win a big international race here on the Gold Coast in mid '74 on a YZ360B. There were a couple of other riders on B models also, i still have the race program here.

YZBs are legal for the pre 75 class. Until about 10 years ago they weren't accepted but there was a concerted challenge made by a bloke named Jody Mason to allow them into the pre 75 class and it was upheld. Ironically, Mason never raced his YZB and was never heard from again.

been watching it too, but it has been listed so many times in so many ways im getting confused with the reserve versus the buy now versus the list price and its like the 4th time i n3 weeks its been relisted one with 3 day listing. .... my head hurts.

CAn i throw another one out there ?  What do folk think of the sub prime knock on ? if any.  I have noticed in the last month some very tasty and well priced units surfacing in the US for sale, and at lower prices than they were 6 months ago, so my question, is the market softening and will we see that flow on here, and saying so will we see not only more come out of hiding but at a lower value ?  and also some colectors re jigg there collections ?

Personally i think we will see more on the market shortterm but Good special bikes will stilll hold there value, but im thinking the more normal units will be cheaper than we have seen in the past.

So is it a good time to hold out for the right ones ? but a bad time to clear the shed of the also rans ?  im interested to see what the market is saying as you guys are it  :-X

Its a strange bike. Seems partly restored but reflects a restored price. I wouldn't want to pay anything for it until I'd had been up close and personal  ;) ;D. Particularly the engine.

Freaky,

I don't know if this is a good indication of what's going on the the States re prices. This one is at the crazy end of the scale. Looks like Bono and the Edge gave it a good flogging.
