TS 125 MX'er
« on: June 11, 2012, 08:54:10 pm »
Hey guys, In the process of putting together an early 70's TS 125 MX and would like a little advice on a couple of things, firstly does a TM rear guard (set) fit a TS? and secondly I have read on past posts that I should ditch the standard airbox/filter and run a simple pod type airfilter, is this the best bet? or can anyone suggest anything better?
Cheers

Hyfen, the TM rear guard will only fit if the frame is modded to suit. i.e. TS mounting tabs cut off and TM mounts fabricated. Easier to use the standard TS inner guard and make the TM 'outer' guard or aftermarket type fit or you can use the standard '71/'72 rear guard in it's entirety if you have either of these models. Holes can be plugged with rubber grommets.

Thanks Doc, actually trying to work out the exact year, it was bought as a 70/71, but the frame number seems to indicate a 73! I like the look of the TM rear so may source a new TS inner (came with no front/rear guard) and mate it to a TM/petty outer. Cheers
