Motors locked up but have no idea why, plastice broken or missing but a good core progect i will never get too.

what are these jobbies worth and who interested in loosing some arms or teeth trying to see if they can ride one.

NAh dont want one, trying to get rid of all the projects and this is one.   Reckon it only owes me $1500 so at your $5000 there is a lot of coin AKA $3500 for some to put towards making this a sweet ride !

Already has the pre 85 front end drum brake mod !

Quick before i change my mind  :D

$300 to any of the 3 east coast capital depots !

What are bits like to source for these KX 500's by way of availability and cost? . I have the opportunity to score one for a carton of Bundy cans but don't want to spend years chasing parts.

Thanks.

like most KX's, the term rocking horse poo comes to mind when trying to find parts.  At least you can get a GMC pipe and Nightmare plastics. Some mechanical 83 and 84 parts are interchangeable but not many. Rod kits, gaskets, clutch plates and pistons are generally available

For a carton, you can't go wrong.
If you don't want it, give me the bloke's number! :)

1. It will cost you all of the $3500 and more to get that bike up and going to anything like John & Teds bikes.

2. Disc front end is legal for Pre85.

3. 83/84 Engine parts are not readily available. Adapting late model parts is possible and is what most do. If you have gearbox issues, good luck!

4. Aside from basic engine parts and the front suspension, nothing else is interchangeable.
