Great photos Steve  8)  And what great memories they must bring.

I remember riding a brand new one at the Albury Wodonga track back in the day.  The son of the Bob Jane dealer in Albury (I think his name was also Craig) was a fast rider and partially sponsored by the local Honda shop I recall.  He had the first one I had ever seen (and probably the first one around) and he gave me a quick ride around the pits on it .. at the time I was riding a RM125N (couldn't afford to update ) and I recall thinking the damned thing was faster than my RM.  Welll it felt faster being that low to the ground  ;D

Absolutely Awesome Picture  Nobby .. I  might have even been there that day.  Ahhhhh the "black" meetings at Toowonga .... man I used to love those as a kid.  That track introduced me into the world of flat track/short circuit racing ... I became addicted to the speed and before you knew it I'd given up on motorcross and was flat tracking and road racing at Winton.

And you might be right come to think of it, his name was Darren and he was a quick little bugger.  I wonder where he ended up.

And you have Brad Jones's bike in the pic as well.  Wow, I knew Brad back in those days.  I came to Brad's attention as a whipper snapper on my XL70 pulling monos up and down the lane that led to his and Phil Cribbs panel shop in Albury (just of Creek street).  Brad must have thought I was a cool little kid and I did my work experience there.  Also went riding a bit with a couple of times.  He taught me a couple of things back in the day when I got my first CR125 Elsinore.

Thanks for posting that up  ;D 8)

Hey Nob, I never got to Towonga but I raced at Bright on my YZ80E back in 1979. Have you got many more pics of any racing in N/E Vic in 1979/1980? It'd be great to see them.
