Engine swap king!
« on: April 29, 2012, 03:25:07 pm »
I've gotta give this bloke an A+ for achieving the seemingly impossible. He's managed to squeeze an XS650 engine into a little CT1 Yamaha roller. I'm sure there's been a lot of hacksaw and Oxy work but he's not only make it neat and looking sort of factory, he's also managed to get it registered.

Fark! That big engine makes that bike look so short! I imagine it would be a scary thing to ride, trying to swap ends and shaking it's head when you screw the throttle on...

They handle badly enough as a 175...
Thinking about trying to hold the throttle open on that, over a series of whoops sends shivers up my spine.

And by "throttle open", I mean "fast idle", and by "whoops", I mean "a reflector on the road surface".
The good thing about telling the truth is that you don't have to remember what you said.
