Mike if it's the same as the Rm 125 -  "B"   It's a external fit
with 2  flat sides 19mm long and 19 mm apart top & bottom  is 1/4 round being  24 mm apart

125 B

250 - 370

250 370 is a little smaller
flat sides 8mm long  and 12mm apart     top and bottom round 1/4 round being 14mm apart

Don't have a photo or drawing Oldie ?
Looking down the tubes I am seeing a hollow damper rod with a ring on top.
No slots or key type thing on that ring for any tool to hold on to the rod to stop it turning.
Sorta looks like a Husky setup but the fork tube must not jam the lower washer to undo the allen screw on the bottom like the huskys do.
Cheers Mike

I use this method with good success - leave the fork assembled, drain the fork oil, flip the fork over and press the fork downwards - the more pressure the better. This compresses the spring against the damper rod with enough tension to (usually :D) stop it rotating as you try to undo the damper rod retaining bolt. Use a rattle gun for best effect. Giving the damper rod retaining bolt a hit before you start with a drift also helps to break the lock. Good luck.
WANTED. Canams;all models,complete or parts.SWM stuff too!

Ta Canam I've been thinking I might have to do that because after seeing the photo's that Oldie kindly sent me I am of the opinion that the last person who assembled these forks threw away the top of the damper rods  :o
I can see all the way to the bottom of the damper and it looks as if the valve on top is missing.
Wondered why they were bouncy. ;D

Got them out and they look nothing like the manual  ???
The white square pipe with the seat belt bolt in it is the tool , fits in the female hex just right.
