Harrisville for pre85 champs next year?
« on: April 16, 2012, 08:40:48 pm »
Should we put together a proposal to run the pre85 champs at Harrisville for next year- 2013?
It is a great venue with a fantastic riders track and plenty of space for camping and spectators.
I think there is the chance if we act now.
just puttin it out there.

Pre 85? Are you trying to change the rules? The split is pre 78 and evo onwards. Do you mean the post classic nationals?

Just that no-one has put their hand up for the "post Nats" yet.

If you could sort the starting area out and have correct gates why not it is a great venue.

Start line is sorted and track is a credit to Greg, but before every one gets excited Greg should be consulted.
I'd certainly be interested in helping with such an event, but there were good reasons why Greg and I canned running the Classic Nats there this year

I was just testing the water with the view of taking the answer to Greg.
Considering the last event I held/help out with cost me $1500 personally, I'm not sure I will want to be too involved :D :D :D

I know of a club who has applied to host the titles for 2013 and there was no mention of a split on the application form? ie classic or post classic

With Ladies Class being introduced and age groups in Evo, likely age groups for Pre78 and Pre85 by 2013,and considering the reasons behind the split, it would have to be at least a four day event and then youd be pushing it.Two consecutive weekends would be viable, and was always a consideration when contemplating the split
