« on: April 04, 2012, 09:35:15 pm »
After buying this "beauty" ex Corona California for the princely sum of USD$500,the twelve month project was completed just in time for the 2012 Johnny Old VMX race.
Heres the before and after shots-and yes vmx42 the race numbers were applied in a hurry ;D
Before

Some time after

Here I am wobbling around the track on the new machine:

Great Job Suzi59 .... don't let the wobbly stickers worry you .... at least you're using the bike for it's intended purpose and haven't turned her into a lounge room trophy

Thanks guys.
Jeff  I had some jetting issues (too rich down low) but the mid range "hit" was very nice indeed.
The bike handles like all good Suzukis (awesome  ;D).

To coin a phrase "this ones a keeper"  ;)

Time to have a holiday between projects, but the RM 125D will get a spruice up before our 2012/13 season kicks off in September.

Just gettin a bit nosey here suzuki 59.
In the before pic of your bike i noticed that the rear shock looks like its an aftermarket
market item.
Other pic shows you went with the stock standard item.
Which brand of rear shock was it ???

Hi Andrew, well spotted. The bike came with a works performance shock, which we used only the body on the rebuild, but it has a nos standard Suzuki reservoir, shock line and optional harder spring.
