Gee it's funny how fast time goes by... I stripped the IT and the RM a month or two back with the plan to clean em both up, replace anything needed and make them presentable for CD9. I figured I'd have that done by mid June or so....  But... I've hardly touched them since and they were just bare frames still as at this morning. Thankfully it's been a cold wet day here so some garage time was in order. Now I have an IT175 rolling chassis that with any luck will get its engine and bodywork back on tomorrow, and the RM250 is starting to take shape as well.  The RM turns out to be reasonably clean and straight and remarkably original, so with any luck it'll be a decent runner and with some nice fresh S12s should be a great choice for the grasstrack.

I got the news earlier in the week that well known American VMX personality Michael McCook of www.mccookracing.com will be coming to CD9. Many Sydney locals got to know him when he raced Kathleen Atkins pre 70 TS250 Suzuki at the Nepean Charity meet about three years ago (after my Maico shit itself ::)) and at a particularly drunken Klub Kevlar soiree at Jonesy's. He's a likeable bloke and will easily slide into the Klub Kevlar/Husky Central Classic Dirt style ;D.

Yeah the legendary Graeme Smythe will be coming over. It'll be great to see him catchup with his old Team Kawasaki mentor and mate, Frank Stanborough. Frank's debuting a new Mojo/Matchless pre 65 bike and he's hoping Smythie will cut some laps on it.

Well, another batch of rider registratons has now been processed and NSW is continuing to power along in the lead, although the percentage has waned a little.  The breakup now is as follows:

NSW & ACT    78%
QLD               12%
VIC                  9%
The Rest           1%

So the numbers from QLD and VIC are still surprisingly small.  All I can say is don't leave it too long and risk missing out!  :o

Hey Ajay, just for interest sake what was the percentage of Queenslanders when Classic Dirt was in QLD? And What was the percentage of Victorians when Classic Dirt was in Victoria?

Stan.
