XL175 Low Pipe
« on: March 20, 2012, 07:02:03 pm »
I'm after a low pipe to fit an XL175.
Preferably aftermarket, but anything considered in decent condition.
pm or email if you know of anything.
Ta.  ;D

Tony, Didn't the early (orange) XL175 come out with a low pipe as standard?
I may not agree with what you have to say, but I'll defend to the death your right to say it.

Sure did, young Timmy.  ;D
And that's what I'm after.

Got anything in that shed of yours?  :P

Thanks for that, CG.
Sounds like they might have what I need. I'll flick them an email.  ;D

Just heard back from them and it's near 400 bucks so I might look for something secondhand until I get desperate..........  :D It looks like a good pipe though. I'm just not prepared to spend that much just yet.
I have a header so just a muffler would do ok.

No  OEM XL175 mufflers here Tony, they were designed to burn out, rust or get squashed 33 minutes after being taken from dealers shop.*
What is the header pipe size?
* Only item that died quicker was the kick starter shaft.... :D

Got another (orange) tank here for you, Tony.

Been gonna call, but my phone retardation keeps getting in the way. :-[

After all that, I just had a big shed clean out (again) and found what looks like a Peter Allen muffler which will work fine.
Just need to make up a section of pipe from the header to the silencer.  ;D
That said, if anyone's got an aftermarket pipe to suit going cheaply, I'd still be interested.

I'll send you a pm re. the tank, Nathan. Ta.
