Joan FFS Ben Townley cut his teeth on a PW 50 but i dont suppose he would choose to race one now  ;) I think the difference is these blokes got the most out of the bikes then and now , where as the majority of us wobbled then and wobble now .

Joan when your at work put down that Scan tool and use a multi meter , feeler gauges and a vaccum gauge to tune a new falcon or Commodore and see how much fun that is .

These blokes have nothing to gain and everything to lose by riding old bikes ;) When Graham Noyce first started riding Vintage events ( a good few years ago ) every little teenage shit head who couldn't cut it in modern so raced dads blinged up no expense spared Maico and was strutting round the pits waving their tiny dicks in the air cos they beat a 40 yr old ex world champion .

Just got back from the MX Nationals first round at Conondale... it was the Kiwi and Pom show..

Townley was untouchable (30-40 second O/all winner), basically Townley, Anderson (DNFed last race with broken bike), Coppins and Mackenzie (Had get offs in two races when right up there in the mix).

Cannot wait to see Townley O/S in the US, seriously quick Kiwi.......  Early in the season and a long way to go, but our guys really were not in the mix today.

Is it way too small? A bit of work with the heat gun or hot water could soften it enough to fit if it's close. Maybe some rubber friendly grease as well.

Yeah Townley was in a class of his own, lucky for the rest of the guys he's not doing the series. Hopefully he has the speed to run at the pointy end in the US..

Best of the day for me was seeing Lawson Bopping doing the big jumps over Drunks hill, twice he nailed it unbelievable, a few others had a go but no one that l saw made it, Dan Readon came up short so to did Townly and number 100 in the lights class. And Townly a class above the rest, Todd Waters first Ozzie home, bloody good day. Don't for get Rd 1 Grand Prix series at Conondale 14/4/2012 the day before Harrisville.
IN IT FOR THE FUN OF IT. LIKE MR NIKE SAYS JUST DO IT.
