Old bikes welcome at 2012 Kenda Rally
« on: March 09, 2012, 09:47:50 am »
The Kenda Rally is run by Alexandra & District Motorcycle Club and is one of Australia’s longest running trailbike rallies. The 2012 Kenda Rally will be held on Sunday 6 May in the beautiful Rubicon Valley near Eildon in Victoria’s high country.

The exciting news for vinduro fans is that this year there will be a new Vinduro class, and a special award for the oldest bike. Check out this update from the ADMCC website:

Our new Vinduro class is creating a lot of interest amongst the old bike brigade. These guys are real enthusiasts and we think they will bring some spectacle and charm to the event. Take the time to check these guys out on the startline, as these classic bikes are the fore fathers to today’s fuel injected, disc braked wonder bikes.

What's that saying again - “the more things change- the more they stay the same”?

I've spoken with the organiser a number of times, and he's genuinely enthusiastic about getting some old bikes to this event.

More details are available at the ADMCC website - www.admcc.com.au

Latest update, including map of how to get there, is on the ADMCC website now. There'll be a few chaps on old bikes there, and I think the weather is going to be pleasant, so it should be a good day.
